Be Water
Impossible meanwhile not to belatedly join the general chorus of "whoa, awesome" over this clip from Bruce Lee's 1964 screen test for The Green Hornet. There's something arresting about the contrast between his eagerness to please and the absolute otherness of the craft he's demonstrating relative to the environment in which he's demonstrating it, along with the lost-world feel of the 1964 television studio.
note: requires Quicktime 6 or higher, rather irritatingly loads in browser as the clip's downloading

Champion Maussa
It's very hard for Mus Mus Tail not to admire Carlos Maussa's pluck, and it's completely impossible for us not to love his name. But nobody's going to take Hatton's title from his any time soon. Hatton in 10.

Vitali Resigns
Yesterday, Jose Sulaiman tells Vitali Klitschko to defend his title or relinquish it; the next day, Klitschko retires. "Hasim Rahman" is considerably easier to spell, but this development otherwise does nothing for the heavyweight division, since Rahman's been a pro for eleven years already: he'll cherry-pick four or five big payday defenses and then he'll be gone, too. The whole thing's an uninteresting mess. That's why Mus Mus Tail is throwing its weight behind Sinan Samil Sam, who at least has an interesting name to go with his decent albeit not particularly dignified record, and whose manager's name is better still. Go get 'em, Yosemite Sinan! We are with you all the way!
