Swollen Brain
The phrase "on the comeback trail" attracts darkness to itself passively: every time somebody uses it, the amount of total darkness available to it increases. Eventually "on the comeback trail" will eat the universe. This overpowering negative energy, which can originate in something as seemingly benign as an injured pug desperate to make a living, routinely gets decried by boxing writers, but everybody should stop kidding themselves. Watching boxing at all is at least partly about admitting that people like to flirt with death. Boxing commissions should stop hurt boxers from fighting, sure; but when they don't, the Romans are gonna watch the lion eat the Christian. Do they think we came to the Coliseum because we are partial to their hot dogs?
